Introducing Our Temple Priest Sri Guntur Tirumala Raghurama Vallabha Charyulu
We are honored to have Sri Gunturu Tirumala Raghurama Vallabha Charyulu, affectionately known as Sri Raghu Ram Garu, serving as the esteemed priest at our temple. With deep spiritual roots and over 17 years of dedicated service, he brings a wealth of Vedic knowledge, ritual expertise, and devotion to our community.
Born into a traditional Sri Vaishnava Brahmin family and trained extensively in multiple Vedic traditions, Sri Raghu Ram Garu embodies both scholarly depth and spiritual sincerity. He is proficient in Yajurveda, Pancharatra Agamam, Smartha, and Sama Veda traditions—each studied under revered scholars across Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Over the years, he has performed a wide range of sacred rituals including homams, kalyanams, samskaras (life-cycle ceremonies), and daily temple services. His specialties include Tirumanjanam, Brahmotsavam, Mahanyasa Ekadasa Rudrabhishekam, Upanayanam, Vivaham, and Satyanarayana Vratham, among many others. In addition, he has a unique flair for crafting special decorations for temple deities, enriching the visual and devotional experience of our festivals.
Before joining our temple, Sri Raghu Ram Garu served for 15 years at the Sri Abhayanjaneya Temple in Vijayawada, India, and for 2 years at the Sri Ranganatha Temple in New York. His multilingual abilities—Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and English —allow him to connect deeply with devotees from diverse backgrounds.
